Lt. Steve Robertson began his fire service career in 1988 as a volunteer firefighter. He became a full-time firefighter in 1989. In 1993, he began his career with the Columbus (OH) Division of Fire and was assigned to Ladder Co. 1; he then served a year on Squad 23 before being assigned to Engine Co. 2. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2002. He is currently assigned to Engine Co. 18 in South Linden.

Lt. Ray McCormack is a 23-year veteran of the Fire Department of New York and a lieutenant with Engine 69 in Harlem. McCormack is a New York State certified fire instructor, with experience as a Hands On Training (HOT) instructor for FDIC and FDIC West in Live Fire Attack. He lectures frequently on engine and ladder company operations, and his articles have been published in Fire Engineering, Fire Rescue Interactive, and WNYF (With New York Firefighters). McCormack has a B.A. from New York Institute of Technology.

The Engine Company Boot Camp will feature a 3 hour lecture by Lt. Steve Robertson on Stretching for Success & a 3 hour lecture by Lt. Ray McCormack on Engine Operations in the Modern Fire Environment.

When students finish the Engine Company Boot Camp, students will be prepared for your every day, bread and butter structure fires.

After the class join Lt McCormack & Lt Robertson for a Tactics on Tap event at President's Pub. Ticket includes one free beer/wine/nonalcoholic drink and buffet.
